Central SRA

Special Rating Area in Central, Port Elizabeth

Mike on the Central SRA

Mike’s opinion on the proposed Central SRA:

First of all, when and how was this meeting on November 11th advertised?
I attended a meeting re this issue at the Tramways Building, registered as an interested party and submitted my email address and contact details – so why was I at least not emailed re the meeting on the 11th of November? Was anybody emailed?
Already, the Public Participation Process has been shown to be compromised. I cannot see that either I or any of the other 29 owners of units in our complex at Western Road will support this SRA.

Mike is a proud Central Resident in Western Road.

Editor: The meeting at the MBDA and the formation of the interim committee are all steps towards getting as many people as possible within the demarcated area aware of the desire to form an SRA – NO decisions have been made yet and the Public Participation meetings will help give feedback and guide owners as to whether to consent or not. The interim committee have taken on the task of getting the ball rolling for this community initiative.
